About the Conference

This is the 6th UNITWIN SIERA International Conference and 2nd SOMTU International Conference, a joint academic conference organized by UNESCO UNITWIN, Handong Global University (South Korea), the School of Management, Tribhuvan University (SOMTU, Nepal), the University of the Assumption (the Philippines), and the University of Finance and Economics (Mongolia), and sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea.

The conference will be held on November 5, 2026, in Kathmandu, Nepal, bringing together professors, researchers, industry leaders, social innovators, policymakers, and students from around the world to share experiences, present new ideas, and engage in meaningful dialogue. Through keynote sessions, panel discussions, and collaborative exchanges, participants will explore practical challenges and solutions surrounding the responsible use of artificial intelligence, with a focus on how AI can drive inclusive growth, social innovation, and sustainable development. Together, participants will contribute to shaping a better, more equitable world.

Conference Format

This conference will be held in a hybrid format. Participants may choose in-person presentation at the venue in Kathmandu, engaging directly with keynote speakers, panelists, and fellow researchers throughout the day, or online virtual presentation via Zoom, which provides full access to keynote speeches and parallel sessions without the need to travel. Both formats offer equal opportunities to present research, join discussions, and connect with the academic community.
